Sarah Bernhardt, King Victor Emmanuel II of Italy, and the Duke of Aumale stayed there to enjoy the mild winter climate of the French Riviera. Renamed the Balmoral in 1892, the hotel has evolved over the decades: columned loggia, sculpted pediment, framed windows... The architecture combines classic simplicity with Art Deco accents.
Today, the Balmoral Hotel in Menton still retains its unique charm. Behind its facades overlooking the sea, it welcomes today's vacationers with the same promise as in the past: a peaceful stay in a place steeped in history.
